I was really excited about the chance to join Muck Rack's customer success team. Some interviewers were great and we had really good talks. But, one chat felt off and not really related to my experience, which was weird after the good talks before. The whole thing took a while, over five weeks and a bunch of chats (including a presentation), and then just ended with no word back. It felt unprofessional, especially since they focus on communication. Muck Rack has good people and could be great, but they could make the process better by having one main contact person, making the interviews flow better, and giving updates faster, especially because the pay is lower than the market for this kind of job.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process was overall positive. They followed up with updates on next steps. What is very disappointing is that after rejecting my candidacy, they sent a generic canned email. I asked the recruiter to provide some feedback regarding their decision but never heard back. Every company that I interviewed for in the past provided constructive feedback if there was no offer. Muck Rack is the only one that didn't.

The interview process, which Muck Rack laid out on the job description, was super helpful and accurate. It included an HR screen, an interview with the hiring manager, a project and presentation, and then meeting with three team members.
