Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MTX Group.
Salesforce Developer
The interview process usually involves two rounds. First, there's a technical round that includes some practical coding. After that, there's a regular HR round. Neither round is particularly difficult. You should be familiar with fundamental programming concepts like Java and OOP, along with basic Salesforce knowledge, although deep expertise isn't required.
- Can you answer basic Java questions, like about loops and variables?
- Are you familiar with OOP concepts?
- Do you have basic knowledge of Salesforce?
Salesforce Developer
The interview process had a test with 3 programming questions on Data structures and algorithms, and 67 Multiple Choice Questions covering Aptitude, programming, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, OOPs, Java, and SQL. The test was for 2 hours. This was followed by Round 2, the Technical Interview Round 1. It started with discussing my projects. The interviewer asked me questions on every skill I listed on my resume. This round focused on Data Structures and Object-Oriented Programming. They also asked some questions about HTML, CSS, and SQL.
- What is sorting, and can you name some sorting algorithms along with their time complexities?
- Could you implement a sorting algorithm in a programming language of your choice?
- Under what circumstances would you choose quick sort over merge sort?
Salesforce Developer
The interview process included technical and functional interviews which were good. The panel members were clear about their expectations and asked relevant questions. However, the HR interactions were poor. They were inflexible regarding offer and joining dates, and didn't create a positive impression about joining the company. It seems they need to improve their approach to candidates, especially the HR team.
- Can you discuss Salesforce integrations?
- Tell me about your experience with Lightning components.
- Describe your understanding of the Salesforce data model.
