Candidate interview experiences

Senior Consultant
I was invited straight to an interview in Cologne without any prior phone call. The conversation was really pleasant and mostly just small talk. A little bit of probing about my skills and past project experience, nothing else. About half of the 120 minutes were spent on the company presentation. However, what I find outrageous: After the interview (for which I traveled across the country), there was simply no feedback at all. After 2 weeks, I got tired of waiting and withdrew my application myself, stating that they hadn't gotten back to me and I had accepted another offer in the meantime. Even then, there was no response. This is really embarrassing. Some companies apparently still haven't understood that it's not just the applicant presenting themselves and that consultants in the IT field aren't desperately looking for jobs and therefore will put up with anything.
- Could you describe your previous project assignments?
- Have you had any experience leading projects, even partially?
- Are you experienced with methodologies like ITIL, Scrum, or Prince2?
Consultant
First there was a phone interview, then a very quick invitation to a personal interview. The atmosphere in the interview was extremely friendly and the interviewers very nice. Feedback came after a second meeting in a different work group of the company about 2 weeks later. Overall a very good experience.
- Questions about your CV
- Short case study
- Client-oriented work
Consultant
First, there was a self-introduction by the company and the interviewer. Then, I presented my CV. After that, I was asked technical questions based on my job history and studies. I then introduced myself for the job and discussed the terms. We also talked about salary expectations. Finally, I had the chance to ask questions, and they outlined the next steps.
- What are your expectations for this role?
