Inside Sales Representative
I had a phone interview with hr and then two in person interviews, one with the hiring manager and one with the sales manager. three interviews in total. asked pretty standard questions. be prepared to discuss your resume. pretty on par with other sales interviews.
- Tell me about a time you went above and beyond.
- What's your daily call capacity?
- What is your primary motivation?
Sales Representative
Had a phone call with HR first, a friend referred me. Then went for an in-person interview. Was in a room for a few hours, had a panel interview with teams of 2 and spoke with 8+ people, all sales managers and the sales director. Seemed to go well with the managers, they liked my experience. The Director barely looked up, just stared at my resume and asked slow, unenthusiastic questions. Said I've worked for too many companies (3), which could be a red flag. I explained it was an asset to my experience and business acumen. He didn't agree or listen to his sales managers. I was turned down. I was probably overqualified and unemployed at the time.
- Hiring someone with more experience than a recent college grad, what value would that bring to the team?
Sales Representative
It starts with a phone call from HR, which is usually the easiest part. They might even help you get ready for the next interview. After that, you'll get an email inviting you for an in-person interview. There, you'll shadow a current sales rep and then go through two more interview rounds. Each round will have a director or manager and about 2-3 representatives.
- Tell me about a time you worked really hard to achieve a specific goal.
