Sales Executive
The whole hiring process took about two weeks from start to finish. It began with a brief phone call to check your phone etiquette. Then, there was an in-person interview. This involved shadowing a member of the sales team, followed by an interview with 3-5 sales team managers. A second round of interviews with other people happened the same day. While it seems like a lot, it works in your favor because if you impress one or two key people, they can help convince the others. The interview process was quite friendly.
- Why did you choose a career in sales?
- What are your career aspirations for the next few years?
- What motivates your interest in MSDS?
Account Executive
I walked in and immediately noticed that I was overdressed, as most managers and even the director dress extremely casually. I was interviewed by 4 different people, and it felt like a 'good cop, bad cop' routine. After a string of questions that were repeated by different interviewers, I got to see the sales floor and meet some of the reps. Most of them were nice, but a few gave me mean stares.
- What makes you a good fit for our sales team?
Sales Executive
First there was an on campus interview, pretty basic and simple questions for an entry level role. Then I got called in for an on-site interview at the Chicago office. It was a round robin style with 3-4 groups of managers. All the interviews were different but they asked similar questions about how to succeed in sales. About 1-2 weeks after that, I got an offer letter via call/email.
- Tell me about your biggest regret.
- What's the most unexpected question you've ever been asked?
- What is your greatest accomplishment?
