First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MRM.
Art Director
It was a pretty standard interview process. I went through two final rounds and they mostly asked about my portfolio. I heard back about the results about two weeks later.
- Can you describe some advertisements you worked on at your last company?
- Could you walk me through some of your personal projects?
Art Director
I was really impressed with their communications throughout the process and how polite and professional they were. I had some short email communications leading up to the interview. Met with a few different CD's they told me about upcoming projects and timelines. The interview was focused on my portfolio and skill set. All the questions were very relevant to the role and it was a relaxed but professional atmosphere. I think they are accustom to working with freelancers and know what they are looking for out of a designer.
- Can you tell us about a project you particularly enjoyed working on?
Art Director
I initially applied through MRM.com and a recruiter contacted me within two weeks. They mentioned there were several Art Director roles open and asked me some questions to figure out the best fit. Then, they set up meetings for me to talk with various teams and Creative Directors. The whole process from applying to getting an offer took about 45 days, which felt a bit long, but I'm glad they took the time to match me to the right position.
- Can you tell me what fuels your creative process?
- Where do you envision your career in the next five years?
