Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MRE Consulting.
Consultant
There was a phone screening where we went over my resume and some typical consulting questions. Then, a behavioral interview with a leader, which felt more professional than the screening. Finally, an office visit for the final round, which included a group case study and a presentation.
- What makes you want to get into consulting?
- Could you walk me through your resume?
- Tell me about yourself.
Consultant
I had my first screening call last week. The recruiter asked me only behavioral questions and didn't even ask for an elevator pitch. I haven't heard back yet, and it's been a week.
- What is your expected starting wage?
- What percentage of travel are you willing to do?
- Tell me about a time you did something.
Consultant
I went through 4 interviews. First, a recruiter, then a business developer, then an engineer, and lastly the hiring manager. Three were phone interviews and the last one was in person. The engineer's interview was the most technical; he referenced my resume and asked for more details on certain technical points. The final interview was face-to-face. It included some technical discussion but no direct questions, mostly a general conversation to understand me as a person and my career aspirations.
- Can you tell me about your experience with Hypervisors and which ones you've worked with?
- Could you explain what WDS stands for and its function?
