Product Specialist
The first interview was a good chat. The interviewer was nice and attentive, but couldn't answer some of my questions and said they would be addressed in the next round. The second interview, however, was a letdown. Nobody joined the initial Zoom call, and when it was rescheduled, the interviewers were late. The questions were quite basic and didn't seem well-prepared. The two guys running the second interview seemed arrogant and uninterested, like they didn't really care about the conversation. They asked about my camera experience, which I have, and when I asked about training to improve my skills, they said it wasn't needed because they have a pamphlet and another department handles detailed questions. Overall, the whole thing felt messy and rude, giving me a bad feeling about how the company is organized and communicates.
- What is your experience with cameras?
- Can you tell me about yourself and your previous experience?
Product Specialist
The interview had two steps: first an online interview, then an in-person one at the Berlin office. The in-person interview started friendly, but then got weird. They asked what I thought were silly questions in a confrontational way. The interviewer also seemed bothered that I'm a content creator, repeatedly saying the job wasn't creative. This job's been open forever, maybe they need more people or their hiring standards are off. I reapplied after 5 weeks since it was still open, and got a form rejection email less than two hours later, even with my strong background in photo hardware.
- I was asked if I have a sense of duty in fulfilling professional commitments.
- I was asked if I knew what KPIs are.
- I was asked if I thought I was capable of preparing at least 38 cameras per day for sale.
Product Specialist
It was a really relaxed interview with questions about myself, my work as a photographer and what I know about photo equipment. If I have problems achieving goals and how to work in a team.
- What is your motivation for working at mpb?
- Have you ever performed sensor cleaning?
- Could you describe the photographic equipment you currently own or have previously owned?
