Account Manager
The interview process was really thorough and organized. The recruiter was professional and kept me updated on everything and what was next. After the first call, I spoke with the hiring manager and about five other team members over the phone. Then I had one in-person meeting. The last stage involved preparing a mock client presentation and having five interviews, either in person or via video call, with key decision-makers. Finally, they did a reference and background check before extending an offer.

The whole thing took like 2 months, starting with a phone screen, then two more phone interviews with team folks. After that, it was an in-person with 4 different people. Then they did a reference check. The next step was a full hour training session on their product over screenshare with someone in NY. The final part was an on-site presentation to the team and a screenshare with a VP in NY, finishing with a short 5-minute chat with the VP. The presentation was supposed to be about the platform itself, not about how much I knew about tech, but more about my presentation skills and ability to handle questions. There wasn't really a technical test or discussion beforehand, so it was kind of a shot in the dark presentation, and then they started hitting me with tech and platform questions on the fly in the last round. To make matters worse, the team kept calling me by the wrong name in the last round, and the VP did too. The office was in a WeWork space. The presentation went okay, but even after all that, I got rejected because they said I didn't know the tech around the platform. Apparently, you're expected to have above-average HTML & CSS skills, or at least pretend to, since there was no real test, and I was just being honest. You also need standard adtech & marketing strategy knowledge. They said "novice HTML" was fine and could be trained, but don't believe them. Save yourself 2 months and go with a better company. The platform is okay, but it's going to be overtaken by bigger competitors and is more of a nice-to-have in marketing, not essential. It's a developing company acting like a big player, with a ridiculous interview process that's not worth it. The team was nice though, and the recruiter was nice.

Account Manager
I went through 3 interview rounds. First was a phone interview, then a 2-hour in-person interview with several people, and finally a mock client presentation. I had to create a presentation deck and present it to the Movable Ink team as if they were clients. Communication with HR was difficult; they'd give specific dates for feedback and then miss them, requiring follow-ups. They also promised prep before each stage but were often unavailable or unresponsive. The HR person wasn't even present for two of my interviews. After nearly two months of interviews, including the presentation, and numerous follow-ups, I never received any response, not even a rejection. The HR person stopped answering my emails altogether. I found this extremely rude and unprofessional, especially considering the time I invested.
