Test Architect
For the Test Architect role, the interview process involved a recruiter call followed by a technical screen. Questions covered topics like automation frameworks, responsibilities of a Test Lead, and Java programming. I was also asked to write code to find duplicate values in arrays, and I successfully answered all questions.
- Could you describe an automation framework you've implemented?
- What are your thoughts on automation frameworks?
- What questions do you have regarding the Test Lead role?
Technical Architect
The interview process was normal. I had to explain my overall experience and the work culture. Then we discussed cloning and patching. Specifically, EBS 12.2 database 19c multitenant, adop cycle, and performance tuning. We also covered Rac multinode, pcp, ticketing tool, monitoring, oem, startup shutdown using ansible, RMAN, backups and recovery, and disaster recovery.
- Can you tell us about your current working knowledge of Oracle Apps DBA EBS 12.2?
Associate Trainee
I went through the recruitment process which had an online assessment (aptitude + cognitive), an in-person group discussion, and an in-person technical interview. The online assessment and group discussion were fine. The technical round was a bit odd though. Three people were on the panel and they had me write a program using ArrayList. They asked questions related to my resume, but didn't seem very engaged when I explained my approach. It felt rushed, and I didn't feel like they were really checking my thought process. I also had a feeling that by the time I was interviewed, they might have already selected most of the candidates they needed, so it felt like they were interviewing the rest of us just to complete the process. This made me lose confidence during the discussion. Despite that, it was good practice for interview pressure and taught me to stay calm even if the panel isn't interactive. It was a learning experience and helped me get ready for future interviews.
- What are the new features in Java versions since Java 8?
- Can you write a program using ArrayList to count how many times a specific string appears?
- Tell me about serialization and deserialization.
Program Manager
This was an unpleasant and wasteful interview process. The job was in an industry with only three companies in my area. I had previously worked at one of them and really didn't want to go back due to its poor culture and work environment. The recruiter from Mouri Tech didn't even know the name of the end client, which makes the recruitment process seem broken. I made it clear multiple times that I didn't want to work for that specific company. Despite this, I went ahead with the interview. As soon as I asked, the interviewer named the company I was trying to avoid. The whole interview lasted only three minutes. What a waste of my time.
