Project Manager
The hiring process had three stages: a first call, a skills test, and then a final interview with a group of people. HR was really good at keeping in touch and making sure I knew what was going on, which made the whole thing pretty easy.
- Can you describe your approach to managing a project or process from start to finish?
Project Manager
It was a 5 stage interview process. The first stage was an interview with HR. Stage 2 was an interview with Senior Project Manager #1. Stage 3 was an interview with Senior Project Manager #2. Stage 4 was an interview with the CTO. Stage 5 was a business case presentation.
- Could you tell me about the Agile methodologies you've employed previously?
- Which Project Management tools are you familiar with?
Project Manager
I went through 2 phone interviews that went great and the people were nice. Then I had a final presentation interview which was an hour long. I put a lot of work into preparing a presentation about KeepTruckin's onboarding kickoff, using only info from their website and government sites. I felt prepared and thought it went well, with no indication of issues. HR responded nicely to my thank you, but the panel didn't respond at all. The next day, I got a generic email saying I wasn't selected, which felt impersonal and rude. It's usually standard to keep presentations shorter (they asked for 30-40 mins, but I usually see them around 10 mins). Also, it's standard practice to at least call a final candidate when they aren't chosen, especially after requiring so much work on a 30-40 min presentation. It seems like this is common practice at this company.
- Can you tell me what KeepTruckin is?
