The interview process was very smooth and all the interviewers were nice. The recruiters were very responsive and flexible in scheduling interviews. There were 4 rounds apart from hiring manager interviews.

I had a take-home coding test, which was like a LeetCode easy problem but adapted for a truck route scenario. After that, I had an interview with the hiring manager. The recruiter had said it would just be a chat about my experience and background, but instead, I got quizzed on ML models, which I totally wasn't expecting or prepped for. So, heads up, be ready for anything and don't put too much stock in what the recruiter says. It was pretty misleading and not like the bigger, more organized startups where you know what's coming and can prepare better. Honestly, it was a really bad experience overall.

The interview process included an HR Screen, a Hiring Manager Screen with Live Coding (SQL), a Coding Round (Python), a Panel Interview, a Hiring Manager Interview, and a potential C-Level Interview. The recruiter and team were good at coordinating and providing details. Coding rounds were done on Deepnote, which was easy to use. However, the hiring manager didn't sell the role well, even mentioning teams work in silos, which was a red flag. There were too many rounds, and the role seemed focused only on financial forecasting, which wasn't ideal for someone seeking collaboration. The hiring manager also had Deepnote setup issues, which caused problems during the coding round. I was candid about the issues, even if it might have hurt my chances. He also complained about other teams, and I wasn't sure if he was happy. Overall, the process was smooth but had too many steps for a role with limited scope.
