Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Moss Adams LLP.
Business Valuation Analyst
I had a phone interview with HR first, we talked about my personality and they did a background check. After that, I went to the office to meet with the manager, a senior manager, and a partner. They were all super nice and even took me to lunch afterwards.
- Can you explain how to calculate free cash flow?
- Which financial statement do you like the most and explain your reasoning?
Valuation Analyst
Applied online after being referred by a classmate from grad school. First, I had a one-hour phone interview with the corporate recruiter in Seattle. She was really nice and asked a lot of questions to understand my background and motivation for the role. I had to explain my career path and why I was interested in the job. After that, I was invited for an in-person interview at the Portland, OR office. This involved three back-to-back interviews, each lasting 20-30 minutes, with the managers in the department. They were all polite and friendly, but it felt a bit repetitive as they got to know me. If I had moved forward, the next step would have been interviews with the partners.
- How would you value my previous small, private company?
Wealth Management Analyst
I had a first-round informational interview with some of the hiring managers. They were okay, but it was surprisingly hard to connect with them, especially since they are HR. Also, their communication after the interview was really bad.
- What makes you want this job?
