First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Morrisons.
Sales Assistant
They asked a lot of questions about soft skills and different situations you might face with customers. For instance, they wanted to know how I'd assist a customer with a visual impairment or handle a complaint about not enough jam in the doughnuts.
- How would you assist a customer with poor eyesight who needed your help?
- What actions would you take if you noticed a coworker in difficulty needing assistance, but your shift was over?
Sales Assistant
The interview was held in a very friendly and relaxing environment. The process was easy to understand, professional but not scary. Overall, I would generally recommend it, and everyone was helpful. There's nothing to complain about. I was very happy with the experience even though I didn't get the job. It's a good opportunity to try.
- Do you have prior experience?
Sales Assistant
After I sent in my application, I got invited to a 1:1 interview where they asked me why I wanted the job. I was also asked what I thought I would bring to the role and the company. A few days later, they called to say I got it. Then, I had a two-day induction which included health and safety training, watching company videos, learning about the job, and filling out paperwork for pay. This induction was paid. The first 13 weeks are a trial period where they might move you to a different role or let you go if you're not a good fit. If you stay, you get a small pay increase.
- What do you believe you will contribute to this position?
