First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Morrisons.
Cashier
I had a sit down interview with the hiring manager. They asked the usual questions you'd expect, digging into my school record and any relevant work experience. For the kind of job I was going for, I thought the interview process was pretty standard.
- What makes you want to join Morrisons?
Retail Assistant
i had an interview at morrisons of peterborough three weeks ago, it went very well. i mentioned my age (63) and my 40+ years of experience with the public. the interviewer was impressed by my background in large businesses and seemed positive. she said she'd be in touch in a couple of days, but i've heard nothing since, which is very disappointing.
- I was asked by email to arrive for the interview in 45 minutes.
Shop Assistant
First, they asked me to introduce myself by telling them about myself. Then, we went into past experience. After that, they asked a customer service question about what might make a customer not return to the store. Lastly, they asked about Morrisons specifically, like if I've shopped there and what I like about it.
- What's the biggest reason a customer might decide not to return to a store?
- Have you ever shopped at Morrisons before and if so, what do you like about it?
