The first couple stages of the interview process were fine - the interviewers were polite and warm. Even though the assessment centre was timed a bit off - things started late and ended early, meaning candidates don't get the full time - the process was quite enjoyable and wasn't too intimidating. However, the final interview was very frustrating. It was an in-person interview that took place at Hilmore House, Bradford and is with the head of the data science scheme. I wasn't made aware that the interview would be in-person, and as this was conducted the week before Christmas, I had already made plans to travel till January. It was very frustrating to have to squeeze an interview in. Outside of the poor scheduling, I found the interview very frustrating. He was quite cold and didn't introduce himself. Prior to arriving at Hilmore House, all the candidates were asked to prepare 6 slides answering the following questions. The interview was very rude and didn't let me spend my allocated time (10 minutes) on my slides. I was cut off numerous times and was even made to randomly skip slides. I was rejected after this interview and wasn't offered any reimbursement on my travel (came to over £100). What was even more frustrating was that they told me the reason I was being rejected was because I didn't explain "Why Morrisons" enough. However, what the interview didn't mention was that he asked me to skip that slide. I had prepared an answer and was looking forward to presenting it. Please stop interrupting us. It is not only rude, it also stops you from fully assessing the candidate. We have spent a lot of time and energy preparing for these interviews.

I applied for the data science graduate program and the interview process had three stages. First, there was a one-way video interview and an online assessment. Then, an online assessment centre that lasted most of a day, and finally an in-person interview at Hilmore House. They were really quick with feedback at each step. The initial online assessment involved interpreting data, doing basic calculations, situational judgement questions, and recorded video answers. Some questions were a bit unclear with ambiguous problem statements, but using common sense helped. The feedback was automated but fast and detailed. The online assessment centre included a group task, a one-on-one competency-based interview, and a case study. The people were really friendly and supportive. The case study and group task were engaging and had tight deadlines. The final in-person interview at Hilmore House in Bradford involved a presentation on my strengths and motivations, followed by a thorough discussion of my skills and background. It was a positive experience, and they even gave me a tour of the building afterward.

So after sending my CV, the first step was an online assessment which had a video interview in it. They let me know the results via email, and if I passed that, I got to go to the assessment centre.
