First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Morrisons.
Customer Service Representative
I applied on the website and filled out a questionnaire. Then I had an in-person interview where we talked about what I'm interested in and why I applied. We also discussed my flexibility and if I'm open to working different kinds of roles. They asked some questions about my future goals, but mostly it was about tasks, like how I'd deal with conflict and examples of my past work.
- Tell me about a situation where you exceeded expectations to provide great customer service.
- Describe a time you went the extra mile for a customer.
- When have you delivered exceptional customer service beyond what was required?
Customer Service Representative
I applied for a customer service position and first had to complete a scenario-based test. Shortly after, I was invited for an interview with two managers: the team leader of the group I'd join and the department head. Just as I arrived, I was told the role was for processing online grocery orders for Amazon, and that even though the ad was on Morrisons' site, I'd technically be an Amazon employee. The interview felt more like a relaxed chat than a formal interview, lasting about 30 minutes.
- Can you introduce yourself, covering your hobbies and interests?
- Walk me through your previous work experience.
- What would you consider your greatest accomplishment?
Customer Service Representative
I've had two Morrisons Assessments at different stores within 3 weeks. One assessment didn't include a manager interview, but the other did. So it seems like stores can have their own recruitment policies. The assessment itself was pretty standard. It involved introducing myself, working with another candidate, or working with a group of candidates while being watched by a Morrisons colleague and the Store Manager. Both assessments had an activity where we had to describe why a specific Morrisons product is great to the other candidates.
- What does good customer service mean to you?
