They first gave me a multi-day assessment to do before the interview. After I passed it, they wanted me to interview with the hiring team. But the day before the interview, they canceled it because of a company restructure and said they weren't hiring for the position anymore. About a month later, they contacted me again and wanted to meet with the hiring team. After I met with them, they emailed me over a week later saying they weren't interested in me anymore. I get it, but I know they are still looking for someone for this role, so I'm wondering if I did something that caused me not to get hired.

Got invited to apply for the role out of the blue, and had a short timeline because of other offers I had. The hiring team was super responsive and helpful given my situation. It took about 3 weeks from applying to getting the offer. The process included a 45-minute phone screening, then a take-home coding and forecasting exercise, and finally 3 behavioral interviews with people from the org and the team I'd join. The forecasting assignment was the tough part, requiring a lot of thought and effort to get right.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process was quite negative and felt unprepared. Interviewers didn't seem to have reviewed my resume at all, showing a lack of professionalism from recruiters to the SVP, wasting weeks. I was referred and went through prep and multiple rounds. After the last team interview, I was told I lacked experience, which was surprising given my resume. The recruiter then suggested a similar role in another division. I was hesitant because of the previous lengthy process. I asked if the new role required similar experience, and was assured the hiring team knew my background and why I didn't get the first role, and wanted me to proceed. I was also told a different recruiter would handle it, but never heard from them. In the interview for the new role, I was told I'd hear back in two business days. After a week with no word, I followed up. 48 hours later, I was told I wouldn't get an offer due to the same experience issue as the first role. The process included: a 30-min recruiter screening call. A writing exercise where I had to write a cold sales email to get a meeting (up to 48 hours). Then two 45-min team interviews, followed by another two 45-min team interviews. They used the STAR/behavioral framework.

I applied online in August and heard back the same day for a recruiter screen. A few days later, I was told I'd advance and the next interview was set for two weeks out. After that, I got a written assessment. Once they reviewed it, I moved on to my final round, which had 3 interviews over 2 days. The first one was technical, covering my assessment and how I think about survey research. The other two were really behavioral. So, five interviews in total plus a written test. The company seemed to really value a two-way conversation and I learned a lot about the company and the role.
