First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Morgan Advanced Materials.
Graduate Engineer
I went through an assessment centre at their Stourport site in January 2016. It involved an hour-long personal interview, so have loads of different examples ready. There was also a fairly straightforward technical presentation, a group exercise where you need to explain how to implement your ideas, a tour of the factory, a self-presentation, and company presentations.
- What is your knowledge about Morgan?
Graduate Engineer
Applied online and answered basic competency questions. Then did numerical, verbal, and pattern tests. Got a call for a telephone interview a few days later. Morgan Materials was supposed to call but it was outsourced. The person was nice but stuck to a script and didn't seem to get the technical stuff I was talking about. Got feedback after a few days.
- Several competency questions, each needing its own event
Graduate Engineer
I had a 40-minute phone interview with the HR manager, conducted in German. It wasn't too tough, mainly asking competency-based questions focusing on how I've shown my communication and leadership skills in the past. For example, she asked about a time I had a disagreement with someone.
- What is your understanding of our company?
- Could you share an instance where you had a disagreement with someone?
- How have you demonstrated your communication skills?
