Specialist
I applied for a remote role in a support function in early February via the Morgan Group Recruitment website. The job ad mentioned they were looking for their 'missing piece' but no salary. Within days, the hiring team reached out, promising a 'positive experience' and personal communication. They asked for more details about me and my interest in the role, plus an example project. After I responded, they asked for salary expectations. I provided broad bands and said I was open to discussion based on my skills. My figures were apparently in line, as they were 'interested in continuing a conversation' and scheduled a Teams 'discussion' with two team members. Only one could make it, and it was informal, allowing me to learn more about the role and highlight my skills. Later that day, I was sent competency-based questions and asked to prepare a 10-minute presentation. I sent my availability, and the details were confirmed a week later. The interview, also on Teams, was standard. I was told I'd hear back soon, but after three weeks, I nudged them. They apologized for the delay and said updates would be sent that week. Another month passed, so in mid-April, I emailed again, acknowledging potential delays and asking if the role was filled. I'm still waiting. While I understand small teams can be busy, the lack of promised 'updates' has been confusing and not a 'positive experience'. I feel I invested time and effort only to be ghosted. It's strange HR wasn't involved, and only the hiring team communicated. It felt chaotic, but I might have dodged a bullet.

Finance Leadership Development Program
The recruiter sent an email to my college career center about the position, which is a 2-year program with 4-5 rotations, starting at a small plant and then moving to a bigger site. They provided a detailed training plan for soft skills. I applied through campus recruiting and got an email back quickly to set up an interview. The first interview was a phone call with the HR partner, mostly asking to go through my resume and experience, plus questions about a school/work project where something happened. It's really important to have examples of working with difficult people, leadership, solving problems, and doing extra work. After that, I had to take an online test for personality, intelligence, and reasoning, which wasn't too hard. The second interview was on campus with the Finance director and HR partner. They asked more behavioral questions like how others would describe me, why I'm a good fit, and about adapting quickly. It was a very casual chat, and the interviewers seemed really genuine and wanted to help new grads start their careers. I was invited for a final third interview with the plant's GM, but I got an offer from another company with a similar role and had to decide.

Graduate Scheme
Applied online on August 26, 2012. The online aptitude tests were pretty standard, covering verbal and math skills. They were well-designed, starting with easier questions, unlike other tests I took. Within a few days, I got an email saying I passed and could book a phone interview. This interview involved typical questions, starting with what I knew about the company. The interviewer, from an external group, was pleasant. She asked if I knew all their business locations; I didn't know all of them, but I knew a few in Britain. Then came the usual competency questions, like describing a problem I faced and how I solved it, with follow-up questions on my answers. Even though I felt I answered well, I wasn't invited to the assessment centre. I received an email stating they had many high-caliber applicants and I didn't meet the criteria.

Supply Chain Manager
I was contacted via LinkedIn about a Supply Chain Manager role in September. After submitting my CV, there was a 3-4 week delay before the initial team call to discuss my experience. About one to two weeks later, I was invited for an on-site interview, which involved a 5+ hour drive. I was willing to travel and spend money on it. The site visit was interesting, followed by an informal chat. A few days after returning home, I followed up on the next steps. The communication then became very poor, with either no response to my emails or vague promises about hearing back the following week. After about 5 weeks, the role was suddenly split into two positions. I was sent a job description for a very similar role, for which they had previously told me I was a perfect candidate, and I confirmed my continued interest. A few days later, the job was no longer advertised on their website. I inquired about the situation, and to this day (late January), I have not received any response. I am very disappointed with how I was treated and the lack of communication, especially after I had already spent money on travel (without any offer of expenses) and taken time off work for the interviews.
- Could you please walk me through your CV and explain how your experience aligns with this position?
