I got a questionnaire with some fun questions about me, like what I'd do in a zombie movie, and then a brief phone chat. After that, there was a coding test. Then, I had an in-person interview. It started with the HR manager, which felt more like a casual chat. Moogsoft really values learning, so they emphasized wanting candidates who are eager to learn continuously. The technical part was with two of their software developers. They asked about my coding test responses, Java basics, and OOP. I also had to do a coding problem on a whiteboard. One of the developers was great and helpful, but the other was really condescending. Every time I made a mistake, he'd give an exasperated look to his colleague, which was pretty obvious. During the whiteboard task, he kept huffing and puffing to his colleague when I messed up, even though I was right there and could hear him. Even with that one person, I still think Moogsoft seems like a good place to work with friendly people. I just felt embarrassed by that one colleague's behavior.

The interview process was one of the best. It was a 3 stage process. First, a telephone interview with a senior engineer where they asked about my experience with Java and programming in general, some brief questions about what I covered at uni, my dissertation and what I knew about the company. Second, a programming exercise in Java and if they liked my solution they invited me to a face-to-face. The face-to-face lasted about 1 hour and was a fairly pleasant experience. We discussed my solution and how I could improve it alongside some technical questions on Java.

Confirmed questions1 question

The hiring process was really smooth, with the hiring manager, Caroline, being super communicative and helpful. Everything felt well-paced. The two technical interviews were pretty fair with what they asked.
