First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Moog Inc..
Systems Engineer Intern
It was a straightforward 45-minute video interview. I spoke with the hiring manager I'd be reporting to. The interview was split evenly between technical topics and behavioral questions, including a review of my resume and experience.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
System Engineer
The hiring process started with an email to schedule a phone call with a Sr. Talent Acquisition Partner, who asked some behavioral questions. If successful, the chief engineer reached out via the Teams app for another interview, though the camera was off due to confidentiality, which was a bummer. The final interview was an onsite meeting in Goleta, CA, with the chief engineer and a subordinate. The whole process, from interview to offer or rejection, took about 3-4 weeks for the interviews and another month for the decision.
- Describe a time you handled a disagreement with someone.
- What was your contribution in past projects?
- Could you explain your IMU sensor project and its connection to ECI, ECEF, and NED reference frames?
Systems Engineer
First, there was a campus visit and a casual chat with the systems lead. Then, I got an email asking me to come in for an on-site interview. When I got there, I had an interview with the systems lead and then a more technical interview with another systems engineer. They asked me a design question, and they really wanted to see that I asked for more details before jumping into an answer.
- Tell me about your past projects.
- What are you like as a person?
- Can you share some examples of your experiences working with other team members?
