The HR team was difficult to work with. Initially, they asked for my availability. Since the interviewer was in a different time zone, they suggested an interview outside my typical working hours, which I agreed to. However, they rescheduled the interview twice due to their own scheduling conflicts before the first round finally took place. The interview itself with the interviewer was positive. I was told I'd hear back within one to two weeks. After waiting for two weeks and following up several times, they completely stopped responding and didn't provide any updates on whether they were still considering me for the position.

I interviewed for the MIS Research team intern and it was a positive experience. They told me what their expectations were, I went over some projects I had done & what languages I knew. Moreover, they asked me to talk about projects I had done which were not on my resume. Always make sure to convey your skills through when you're explaining your projects to them and go step by step. It also helps when you mention the specific modules you used and for what.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I had an initial call with HR in London. Then, I had an interview with two managers. After that, there were some update calls with the same HR. Eventually, I got an offer. I requested a salary adjustment. Then I received another offer. The interview with the managers involved a self-pitch presentation, an introduction to the department and job description from Moody's, and several technical questions. Since there wasn't a full-time role in my specific field, I applied for the internship with my 2 years of experience. They assessed my past experience with technical questions, which let me showcase my knowledge. The managers were knowledgeable and kind, and they saw I was a good fit for the internship. They asked about my short-term career plan and how it relates to Moody's Analytics. They mentioned HR would contact me the following week, but HR called the next day about filling the position. Their initial offer was extremely low, below minimum wage for an internship in Paris, especially for an international student. I asked HR for a small salary increase and if remote work was possible, as they had mentioned it could be an option during the interview. After a month of silence for 'final approvals' for remote work, I had to ask multiple times for an update. HR then offered a remuneration LOWER than the first one, stating it was because it was for remote work, not Paris. Their whole setup was amusing. Moody's Analytics is a big name in risk analytics and would look good on a CV. I doubt their recruitment process for real jobs is like this. Based on my experience, they didn't seem to need interns for serious tasks, so it felt like a waste of time. I recommend verifying all details from the start to avoid wasting your time. Check job description locations carefully as even HR seemed confused. Also, discuss the internship's importance to the company, as it can help convert it into a full-time job. Don't focus too much on remuneration.
