First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Moody's.
Business Analyst
I applied for the Business Analyst position at Moody's via a LinkedIn post. The interview process had two rounds. The first was a 45-minute session with scenario-based questions and assessments of my BA skills. Two days later, I was invited to a second 45-minute call with a senior lead or product manager. This round felt interactive and positive, but a week later I received a rejection email. I suspect my 60-day notice period might have been an issue, as I thought the interviews went well.

Business Analyst
I applied online and it was pretty easy. Had a first call that was about 20 minutes, then a one-on-one with the lead for the position. The whole thing was pretty streamlined and everyone seemed nice. The recruiter on the first call works for Moody's in a lot of countries, was based in France, and also handled the Austrian branch.

- What do you know about what Moody's does?
- What are your future career aspirations?
Business Analyst
First, there was an HR screening where they talked about the job at a high level and asked about my current salary and what I expected. Then, I had a phone interview with an AVP from Bangalore. After that, I had another phone interview with an SVP from New York. The next round was face-to-face at their office with another SVP from New York. Finally, I had a phone interview with an MD from New York. They told me I was shortlisted and asked for my salary details and expectations again. I never heard back, I guess I was too expensive. It's a shame they interviewed me if that was the case.
- All rounds focused on project management and BA experience and success and failure questions.
- All rounds more or less asked about projects I had worked on and previous experience.
- The face to face round was interesting and more behavioral questions than testing of domain knowledge.
