Customer Service Representative
I really liked interviewing with Moo. A recruiter reached out to me directly, saying I would be a good fit, so I was really excited to keep going and I gave it my all. I have over 10 years of customer service experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, and I thought it was a good match for the job and the company. After two interviews, I was surprised to find out they decided against me because they were looking for more call center experience, which they didn’t mention before. It was also upsetting that I was told I’d hear back by the end of the week, but I only got a response after chasing them up multiple times. If they had communicated more clearly and set better expectations, the candidate experience would have been much better.

Customer Service Representative
Sent my cv and basic info, and quickly got an email for a phone interview. The first interview was super fast, felt like they were rushing through it. The main thing they wanted to know was if I could transfer from retail to a call centre, which was odd since my whole career is customer service in retail. After that, I had a really simple online assessment with multiple-choice questions on customer service scenarios, attention to detail, and reading comprehension. Finished it and almost immediately got invited to a Zoom interview, which seemed promising. The Zoom call was about 30 minutes with two interviewers. They asked why I wanted to work for Moo, but cut me off to ask other questions. I tried to roll with it. I was ready for most questions except for one about a past mistake, but I managed to come up with something. The interview went by really fast. At the end, I asked if they had any concerns, and they repeated that I might not be cut out for a contact centre because I lacked experience, mentioning their boss requires at least a year of call centre experience. This made me doubt getting an offer. The next day, I got a generic email saying they found other candidates to be a closer match. It was funny how we focused on giving and receiving feedback in the interview, only to get such a basic email back. While I appreciate the chance, I felt they thought retail wasn't as tough as a call centre, which isn't true.
