First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Montlick Injury Attorneys.
Legal Assistant
It was a pretty long process. Started with a phone interview, then a sit-down test which took a while but wasn't too hard, and finally interviews with the managers. The test usually runs from about 9:30 AM to 12:00 or 12:30 PM. I got called back the following week for another in-person interview that was quite lengthy. They hired me on the spot, which was great. The team is great and I enjoy my job, even though there's a lot of work daily. The people I work with make it easy to commit.

- What did you like least about your previous management?
Legal Assistant
It's a two-part process. First, you have a two-hour assessment test at their office. This involves filling out a detailed application with your full work history and then taking a skills test covering spelling, proofreading, and basic math. After the skills test, there are essay questions, such as asking about your most satisfying experience at a previous job. If you pass this assessment, they'll invite you back for a more traditional one-on-one interview with an employee.
- Can you tell me about your best previous supervisor and the reasons for your choice?
Paralegal
So, I only got to the first step. It's not really an interview, more like a 2-hour written test. It covers your background (even though they already have it), how you'd handle certain scenarios, fixing documents, spelling and grammar, and scheduling. They mentioned it was a "placement" or "personality" test, but it didn't feel like that to me. They also said it could lead to a different role if my skills weren't a perfect match for a paralegal, but that didn't happen. In the end, they just told me I wasn't a good fit for the firm.
- Can you review the information provided above, noting that it wasn't really an interview but more of a meeting with HR combined with a test?
