Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MoneyGram.
Analyst
The interview was pretty easy, the interviewer didn't ask a lot of questions and mostly made fun of my previous role. They also made several comments about immigrants taking jobs and sending money back home. I'm pretty sure this wouldn't have been a good fit based on the comments made during the interview.
- Can you tell me about your past work experience?
Pricing Analyst
The process started with a 10 min phone call, followed by a first interview on site where I met the hiring manager and was put through a test. I was then invited to a second stage interview where I met 4 other managers in separate slots of half an hour each. The third stage interview was pretty much the same as the second one, in one of the slots I met the HR manager. Problem is that in each slot I was being asked the same questions by different people over and over again. After that I asked for feedback. I had to ask several times over the course of several weeks; the final answer was a rejection with no feedback.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What aspect of work do you find least enjoyable?
Analyst
After applying for this role, I was contacted by an internal recruiter about 6 weeks later for an initial phone interview. Since then, I've had 3 more in-person interviews, with about 6 weeks passing between the first phone call and my most recent meeting. The organization is undergoing changes and has management to match. It seems like a fast-paced environment with a diverse workforce and plans for aggressive growth. The facilities are nice.
- Can you describe your professional style?
