First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mondo.
Account Manager
I'm writing this review because the interview experience was so bad. I interviewed for an Account Manager role at Mondo a few weeks ago. The first recruiter was good and asked solid qualifying questions. After that, things went downhill. The second recruiter seemed to be looking for faults and wasn't really listening. They kept emphasizing that it was a sales position, which I already knew since I applied for it. I kind of checked out mentally during that interview, it was so strange. I lost all interest in working for Mondo after that. I saw negative reviews before applying but wanted to give them a chance, but this experience makes me question what working there would be like.
- Just to be clear, you know this is a sales role, right?
Account Manager
The interview process was quite easy and felt more conversational than a typical Q&A. It started with a phone screening by someone from corporate. Then, I had an in-person interview at the office I was aiming for, meeting with three people: two Sales Leaders and the Regional Sales Director. The final step was a job shadow in the role. Sadly, I wasn't offered to proceed with the shadow day. The overall experience wasn't bad, though there was a hiccup where a scheduled phone interview was cancelled on the day itself. I was expecting corporate to call to arrange the shadow day early the next week. I reached out via phone and email but didn't get a response until the following week, after I followed up again. My advice to applicants is to be patient, as they might take a little longer to get back to you.
- What is your motivation for pursuing a career in sales?
Account Manager
First, there was a phone call with the internal recruiter. Then, we moved to a group meeting at their office, which was basically a networking event. The main goal here was to chat with as many team members as possible and ask them good questions to understand the job and company better. It was important to identify who the decision-makers were. Most of the staff were really nice and guided me to the right people. This part is definitely where an extrovert would shine. The final stage was a one-on-one interview with some selected team members, including the Sales Manager and an executive from another branch.
- What makes you enthusiastic about recruiting?
