First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mondelēz International.
Merchandiser
Got set up with their virtual assistant to schedule an interview, but they only had one time slot available, which was more than a week out. I had to download an app for the interview and they sent me a way to connect. However, they never showed up and I waited 45 minutes past the start time. I messaged them to see if we could reschedule, and we did for a time 3 days later, which was earlier than the first slot. On that day, they canceled an hour before the interview. I rescheduled a third time and then heard nothing back. Honestly, I don't think they're actually trying to hire anyone. It was a complete waste of my time, especially since it was for a part-time role.
- Are any of the available preset video interview times suitable for you?
Merchandiser
I applied online one morning and got a call later that day from a recruiter. The whole hiring process was done over the phone. The first call was pretty standard interview questions and went over the job duties. Then she said I was moving on and set up a time for my next phone interview with the district manager. It was four days later. That call was similar, some interview questions, then availability and job basics. After he covered some random things, he offered me the job right over the phone. I accepted and was told I'd get an email for a drug and background test. It took a while to do these because I had to retake the drug test for some reason. I finally got to start the job about a month after applying.
- Tell me about a tough situation from a previous job and how you handled it.
- What's your background in merchandising?
- Can you handle lifting up to 50 pounds?
Retail Merchandiser
The hiring process started online and took longer than I anticipated. After completing all the background checks and tests, the meeting with the district manager was very straightforward. The onboarding process went smoothly and as expected. I would recommend this company to others. The manager was very helpful and clearly explained the position. The HR department was slow to respond and reply.
- Do you have any prior experience in retail?
