Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mondelēz International.
Project Engineer
It was extremely unprofessional. I went through 3 rounds of interviews with 4 different interviewers plus the HR person. Nobody could tell me what the next step was or the compensation range, even after I asked repeatedly and sent follow-up emails that were ignored. After the final interview, they ghosted me for 3 weeks and then sent an automated rejection email.
- Can you tell me about a time you worked with a difficult coworker?
- How familiar are you with our on-site equipment?
Engineering
Submitted an online application with my CV, cover letter, and answered a few questions about why I want to work at Mondelez, creativity, and applying feedback. Then there was a Situational Judgement Test (SJT) which was quite easy, asking me to select answers that show creativity, problem-solving skills, and the ability to deal with ambiguity. After that, I had a video interview with competency-based questions. I didn't have much time to prepare, but the interviewer was really nice and made me feel comfortable.
- Can you explain why you are interested in working for Mondelez?
- Tell me about a situation where you encountered ambiguity and how you handled it.
- Share an example of a time when you demonstrated creativity.
Engineering
We started with an online assessment that included some personality questions. Then there was a recorded video interview where I had to answer pre-prepared questions. This was followed by a telephone competency interview. The final stage was an assessment center which involved group work where we had to design a new product. After that, I had to give an individual presentation on the product we designed (or something similar). The assessment day concluded with a face-to-face competency-based interview. For the assessment day, no information was given beforehand.
- Can you share an instance where you encountered ambiguity?
- Tell me about a time you utilized creativity to resolve an issue.
- How have you managed interactions with diverse individuals, highlighting your interpersonal abilities?
