Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at monday.com.
Manager
The interview process is very drawn out and lacks clear communication. The discussions with the teams are enjoyable and people seem very competent and engaging, but the lack of communication from the HR/recruiting teams comes across as disrespectful. Recruiting teams don't seem to be clued in to Monday teams for basic candidate requirements. Empty commitments for feedback and communication, that recruitment team does not follow through on.

Implementation Manager
The interview process was a multi-step one. It started with a phone screen, then a manager interview, and then an exercise. It was a really disconnected experience. I was told explicitly not to focus too much on the technical side of the exercise and that it wasn't a technical skills test, but rather to see how I think. I was also told to get ready for a mock demo with a client roleplay, which I prepared for with talking points and a planned flow since I have a lot of experience with it. However, the team said they 'don't do roleplay' and the 'demo' quickly became a technical skills test where I was drilled on specific aspects of coding Monday API calls. This was the opposite of what I was told and prepared for. One panel member condescendingly explained basic industry terms. It was obvious the panel hadn't read my resume or coordinated internally about what I was told. I won't apply there again.

Manager
The interview process involved an initial recruiter phone call, followed by a week-long wait. Then, there was an introductory meeting with a manager. This was succeeded by a technical Zoom interview focusing on end-to-end features, and another technical Zoom interview for system design. Finally, there was an in-depth HR interview.
