I went through 2 interviews for this position. The first was a phone call with the recruiter, Brent, and the second was a Teams meeting with the hiring manager, Marisa. They asked typical interview questions. However, what really stood out negatively was their complete lack of communication. Neither of them would reply to my emails asking for an update. It's disappointing how they ghosted me without any response, which reflects poorly on the company. A simple 'we've gone with another candidate' would have sufficed. I normally don't post reviews, but I felt compelled to share this experience.

My interview experience with Monarch was really disappointing. I felt like I was strung along for 45 minutes by the recruiting leader. They lacked diligence and empathy, which I didn't expect from a leader. I got an auto-rejection email less than 24 hours later, which felt impersonal. The leader seemed too focused on JobDiva ATS and didn't seem to know about other tools. It felt like they were in a bubble and unaware of current recruiting tools. Overall, I was unimpressed with the leadership's perspective and their hiring process. UPDATE: The recruiting leader emailed me almost a month later asking me to discuss my review, either to revise it or take it down. I decided to update this to share more for everyone to see. I stand by my original review as it was an honest reflection. If the conversation had been a real exchange, there would have been room for both of us to contribute, and I would have welcomed feedback then. Instead, it felt one-sided, and this follow-up just confirms that. Trying to gaslight me into removing my feedback isn't professional or transparent. I won't be changing my review because of your passive-aggressive feedback.

After submitting my resume online, I received a phone call to set up an interview. I then had a face-to-face meeting with the Regional and Assisted Regional Manager. When I arrived a little early, they greeted me right away and had me fill out an application. They were both very professional and friendly, making me feel comfortable from the start. I had done a lot of research on the company and was really excited for the interview opportunity. The interview went on for over an hour because I have a good amount of experience, and we were able to talk about many of the common challenges faced in the industry.

I got a cold outreach from a recruiter. The interview process was pretty straightforward, though it did feel like a lot. There were 6 rounds total, with 5 being virtual on Teams and one in-person. This place likes to have you meet everyone on the team, which sounds good but can be a real hassle trying to get everyone's schedule to line up. Ultimately, the offer fell apart because of the benefits, or lack thereof. They're not really up to par with what's standard in Colorado or even generally. They kept talking about the great company culture, a 'work hard/play hard' vibe, but it didn't translate to their compensation or benefits. There's no paid parental leave, and the HR/Recruiter seemed unsure about it. PTO is also really low, only 80 hours combined for everything. It's just not what you'd expect in marketing or business operations these days. They were completely inflexible on negotiating anything. If I had to do it over, I'd get clarity on salary, PTO, and other benefits right at the start to avoid wasting time on a company like this.
