First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Momentum Worldwide.
Staff Accountant
The hiring process was quite smooth and handled well. It kicked off with a phone screening by HR about my background and interest in the role. Then, I had a virtual interview with the hiring manager where they asked me technical accounting questions and some behavioral scenarios. The last step was a panel interview where they evaluated my problem-solving abilities and how familiar I am with accounting systems. Everyone was polite and gave clear directions. It was a good experience that gave me a feel for the company culture.

- How do you manage your task priorities when it comes to closing the books for the month?
Project Manager
The first step was a quick 20-minute phone call with the recruiter. Then, there was a 45-minute remote interview with the hiring manager. After that, it was an in-person interview. The final step involved meeting different employees and leaders in person. It was a tedious process with a lack of clarity, feedback, or respect, and I had to push to get any sort of response regarding the next steps and the outcome.
- Tell me about a time you had to manage a team with people from different functions.
- How do you deal with risk management?
Account Executive
So, I got contacted by a recruiter from Middle East Communications Network about an Account Executive position at Momentum Dubai. First, there was a 10-minute phone screening. Then, I had an interview with the hiring managers on September 6th, which went well. After that, I was shortlisted for the second phase, which involved creating a B2B and B2C strategy for one of their existing accounts. I presented this strategy on September 20th and got really positive feedback. The hiring manager mentioned I should hear back about an offer soon from the recruiter. However, it's been over a month and I've heard nothing, not even a rejection. I've sent polite follow-ups, but still no reply. It's super unprofessional to ghost candidates after multiple interviews.
- Can you tell me about your years of experience?
- What does your typical scope of work involve?
- What would you say are your strengths and weaknesses?
Manager
A recruiter reached out via LinkedIn, but I didn't get the full job title or description before the HR screening call. I was expected to know the details beforehand, but luckily I had already done my own research. The interviewer also didn't seem to have reviewed my resume. Overall, the HR process felt disorganized. They made me fill out a paper application instead of using a web link, which felt old-fashioned, and they asked for my social security number on it, which is unnecessary at that stage. I then moved on to an interview with the hiring manager, but after being told they would definitely be in touch, I was ghosted. I received no response to my follow-up, no feedback, and wasn't even informed when they chose another candidate. It was a very off-putting experience compared to other companies. Their HR/recruiting team needs better training. It's 2022, and treating candidates poorly, especially when you initiated the contact, makes them not want to work for you.
