Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Molson Coors Beverage Company.
Marketing
The interview process started with a phone screen. After that, I had to complete two online assessments that took over three hours in total. It felt like taking the GMAT again, and I don't think a standardized, timed test is a good way to judge if someone can do the job well. I heard they only hire people from top MBA programs, which I found off-putting and cult-like because of how discriminating it seemed. Still, my experience matched the job description perfectly, so I thought there might be a chance and decided to continue. The interviews themselves were good, and I really liked the team. I followed up with HR several times but heard nothing back for months. Eventually, I got a rejection email with no explanation. It's likely I didn't fit their very specific mold. Though they mention a background check and offer, I did not get to those stages.
- Can you share your experience with marketing to the millennial demographic?
Marketing Assistant
The interviews (phone screens) for Molson Coors are conducted by a 3rd party recruiter. The recruiter that reached out was very kind, and straight to the point...the interview process. The beginning of the process was normal, just a brief description of yourself, like how any other normal conversation were to start. Then began the series of questions; fairly easy to answer especially if you just focus on being yourself, and are prepared with elaborating on your skills and experience at your current employer.
- Can you share one of your most significant achievements at your current employer and explain the reasons behind it?
Marketing
after applying online, there was a phone screen, then a virtual panel interview via Teams. They used the Standard STAR format and asked pretty straightforward questions that uncover your background. The interviewers were pleasant and the interview itself was pleasant. However, the HR department and the way MC conducts business with candidates is indicative to why their business is in constant decline. You should apply and see for yourself.
- Can you describe a marketing campaign that inspired you?
