First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Molecular Devices.
Sourcing Engineer
The interview started with a virtual chat with the manager, followed by an in-person interview. After that, I sent a follow-up email to the hiring manager and recruiter, but then got ghosted by both. No rejection email or anything.
- What motivated your departure from your prior role?
Financial Analyst
This was a 1-month interview process with 4 rounds. It started with submitting my resume, then an HR screen, followed by interviews with the Hiring Manager, VP, and Director. The process felt very effective, and the feedback was quick. My hiring manager was very nice.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Could you share an experience where you were responsible for budgeting and forecasting?
Technician
First it was HR interview on the phone and talked about my background, and my soft skills. Afterwards it was hiring manager was the same and the engineers interview was a case that you have to solve it . All of them 30 minutes periods.
- Tell me about your weaknesses and strengths
- Here is a schematic, can you describe what you see and how you would approach it
Field Service Engineer
It's a typical, multilevel interview process. It starts with a phone interview, then an in-person interview locally, followed by an in-person interview at headquarters. After that, HR will provide the job offer and details, and then await your response. The managers were previously FSEs. It was a nice surprise to interview with the Engineering department, but that Engineer is no longer with the company. (You should read the corporate reviews to try and figure out why he left). The company's focus is on the bottom line, so make sure to emphasize the dollars you can deliver over the customers you can satisfy.
- Can you describe your troubleshooting method in detail?
