I was reached out to by a recruiter about applying for the role. I had a phone call with her, and honestly, she seemed new and it showed. I felt I explained my fit for the job well, and she mentioned passing my info to the hiring manager. I also completed a skills test. A couple days later, the recruiter emailed me a question from the hiring manager about my background. I responded, highlighting how my experience perfectly matched what they were looking for. After that, I didn't hear anything else. It felt like a waste of time since I wasn't even offered a proper interview with the hiring manager. The recruiters should really do a better job researching the positions they are hiring for.

The interview process was formal, requiring a suit and tie. I bypassed a phone interview and went straight to an in-person interview that lasted about an hour. It covered basic questions about flooring knowledge and how I approach calling on retail accounts.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Do you have previous flooring experience? (Note: If yes, no trick questions or personal inquiries.)
  • Mohawk's HR follows the rules and has great integrity.

The interview process went as expected with a first, second, and third interview. They even told me I was the one, but then all communication stopped. Nobody called or emailed back even after I followed up. It's sad, nobody answers their phones, it just goes straight to voicemail and no call back.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • What would you do if someone became physical with you?
