Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Moffitt Cancer Center.
Registered Nurse
I had 2 interviews. The first was with the recruiter to make sure my resume lined up with what they were looking for. After that was confirmed, the second interview was with the hiring managers. It's a good idea to prepare for questions like 'tell me about yourself' and 'how do you handle conflict in the workplace'.
- Could you tell me a little bit about yourself?
- How do you handle conflict in the workplace?
Registered Nurse
I met with the department team in one of the manager's offices. We all sat down and they interviewed me. They took turns asking me questions about my experience as a nurse, how I would handle a difficult employee, and my strengths and weaknesses.
- How would your friends describe you?
Registered Nurse
The interview process had a team approach. I was interviewed and questioned by the Manager, Asst manager, and a few of the current RN’s working there. I enjoyed it because I was able to ask questions to the people that actually do the work everyday.
- Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
