First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Moffitt Cancer Center.
Administrative
I heard back about a job two weeks after I applied. Then, I had my second interview a week later. The day after the second interview, I got a phone call with a job offer. My first interview was with the direct manager and the second one was with VPs and peers.
- What is your motivation for wanting to join Moffitt?
Registered Nurse
I had 2 interviews. The first was with the recruiter to make sure my resume lined up with what they were looking for. After that was confirmed, the second interview was with the hiring managers. It's a good idea to prepare for questions like 'tell me about yourself' and 'how do you handle conflict in the workplace'.
- Could you tell me a little bit about yourself?
- How do you handle conflict in the workplace?
Medical Assistant
It took a few steps to get hired. There were 2 interviews, one on Zoom and the other in person. It takes a little while to get an offer because they're interviewing a lot of people for the job.
- Tell me about your experience.
- Is your license up to date?
- Do you have phlebotomy skills?
Medical Assistant
I had an interview with a recruiter, then a different one. The initial salary offer was $20, but it dropped to $17 due to a disorganized internal recruiting process. This made me feel like it's a place where they exploit and then discard employees. They asked me several questions about managing workplace gossip and internal conflicts.
