It took me about a month from applying to hearing back. My resume seemed to be a perfect fit for the job description. Everything seemed to be going well, from the initial HR and hiring manager calls, through the onsite interview, and even getting good responses after sending thank you notes. Then, after about a week post-onsite, I suddenly got a rejection call from HR. It was a strange experience!

I spoke with the hiring manager initially over the phone. After I nudged them a few times, the HR person, who is an Associate Director, set up a formal Zoom interview with the hiring group. It was odd that the HR person ran the whole thing (first interview). It felt like she wasn't planning to hire anyone from the start and was just going through the motions, which was totally different from what the hiring group members said.

It was a remote interview and moved really fast. We had a first round with the hiring manager, then a second round with HR. The third round involved a panel interview, which was like a seminar, and then several one-on-one interviews. I got the offer about 10 days after that third round.
