I applied online and heard back a few weeks later. I had two interviews back to back with different people who work on different teams. It was all behavioral/fit questions, no technical stuff or case work needed.

The interview process was smooth and well organized. They tailored the interviews to the role's needs and explained the scope clearly. The hiring team provided a positive experience. However, the initial HR call was unprofessional, with interruptions and a condescending tone. The online interview process spanned two days with four calls involving the Hiring Manager, other Directors, and HR. While Moderna seems like a good company, their recent vaccine launch appears to have led to underdeveloped staffing and organization, making the environment seem chaotic at this time, so I decided not to proceed.

Applied and then heard back 5 months later. When asked about salary, was told it was in line with a senior position and they had flexibility. I've been a Senior level in two previous roles, so this was fine. Several 45 minute interviews were scheduled but rescheduled multiple times. The interviewers were nice and explained the role and the hectic, fast-paced environment, which was good to know upfront. When the hiring manager talked to the recruiter, suddenly the Senior position was no longer available and the salary was 25% lower than what we discussed. The recruiter didn't tell me about this decision or why. I found out from the hiring manager. It was disappointing to have spent hours preparing and interviewing only for this to happen.
