First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Moderna.
Director
The interview process started with a pre-interview survey that felt more like a personality test. Then it followed the typical steps: recruiter chat, hiring manager meeting, and a panel interview. Scheduling was a bit of a hassle with changes and slow replies, making it a long process. Ultimately, the recruiter went silent, and the overall vibe felt like a demanding, potentially toxic environment with frequent layoffs.
- What motivates your interest in joining Moderna?
Director
The interview process was really organized and felt welcoming. It started with a chat with the Talent Acquisition team, then I spoke with the hiring manager. After that, there was a panel session with managers from other teams and some executive leaders. The whole thing was run smoothly, and the TA team kept me updated and let me know about the next steps quickly.
- Can you share an instance where you needed to act quickly?
Director
A recruiter reached out about the Director role. The recruiter was super helpful in setting things up. I interviewed with a bunch of people and had really good conversations with everyone. One of the MDs seemed to have an issue with my outfit, as she kept looking me up and down like she didn't approve. But aside from that, everybody was attentive and nice. After I left, I never heard back from Moderna or the recruiters. It's pretty standard for the industry, so not a huge shock, but still really frustrating and disrespectful to candidates.
- What is your motivation for seeking employment at Moderna?
