First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Model N.
Associate Consultant
The interview process was disorganized and had delays. Initially, I had 2 rounds and was denied. Then, 2 weeks later, they wanted to reconsider me. I went through 2 more rounds and was told a decision would be made in a week. However, I ended up waiting 4 weeks for another denial. The whole process took about 3 months.

The Model N University Hire Program is great for professional growth. It started at a career fair where I met Jesse and Lorin. Then, I had a follow-up with a recruiter and completed an Excel test, which was a requirement to move forward. After that, I flew to New Jersey for three in-person interviews. I got an offer and then was contacted by the program manager who handled my orientation, shadowing, and training until I could start billing. It was a well-planned program, and starting my career at Model N was a life-changing decision.

Had two phone interviews and then three in-person ones. The in-person interviews covered technical aspects, behavioral questions, and a few case studies. They asked about SDLC and PDLC, how I'd approach learning new software, and if I was okay with a lot of travel. Also asked project management questions and about hypothetical situations. The people were friendly and the communication was quick. I'm waiting to hear back about the final interview.
- Can you discuss your background and any related experience you have?
- What's your perspective on SDLC and PDLC?
- How would you tackle learning new software?
