First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mode Analytics.
Sales Development Representative
I had a panel interview with the sales team. It started with a fellow Sales Development Representative (SDR) and then moved to an Account Executive (AE). I'll be talking about collaboration, having a growth mindset, how to align sales strategies, building relationships, closing deals, and hitting revenue goals using new ideas and focusing on the customer.
- Can you describe how you manage communication flow from a BDR to an AE?

The interview process moved pretty fast. It started with a quick phone screen (about 15 mins) with typical questions like 'why Mode?' and 'tell me about your current role.' Then, about 5 days later, I went in for a 2-3 hour on-site interview. There, I met with three people from the sales team: an SDR, an AE, and a Director. The questions focused a lot on sales performance, daily tasks, and dealing with tough situations, plus goals. The last step was meeting with the CEO. This part was really about seeing if I'd fit the company culture, talking about company growth and career paths, and it felt more like a conversation than a Q&A.
- Can you describe a situation where you had to introduce and sell a product to a market completely unfamiliar with your company?
- Please provide details on your previous sales performance figures.
- Can you outline your typical day-to-day sales activities?
Sales Development Representative
Mode Analytics was a really nice and open place to interview with. They were super clear about the interview process, what they were willing to pay, and how things should go from the very first chat. I had a phone chat, then a quick take-home assignment, and finally met with a bunch of the team in person. They were upfront about the take-home project, and it only took me about an hour. The in-person part was about two hours long, and it ended with us all having lunch together. It was a good experience overall.
- Can you share a time you dealt with a difficult customer?
