The first interview was a "coffee interview," which was basically a phone call. It was more like a typical interview, and they had a list of questions to ensure fairness. I didn't have a single point of contact; a different recruiter emailed me at each stage, which left a bad first impression before I even started.

So I had two phone interviews, one was more behavioral and the other was with a senior engineer/manager. Both were about 45-60 mins. Then I had a 4-hour on-site. The on-site started with an hour with the engineering manager, which was pretty much all behavioral. The rest of the time was split into two technical interview segments with different people.

I had a call with a recruiter first. Then I spoke with the director of engineering over the phone. After that, I came in for a 3-hour on-site interview. The role was still being defined at the time, so my interview timeline might have been longer than usual. A month or so later, I had some casual meetings with two people I'd be working closely with.
