Senior Frontend Developer
We started with a general discussion call with HR for about 15-20 min, mostly covering general intro and salary discussion. Then there were two technical rounds. The first technical round covered basic html, css like flexbox, nth child, background attach, and JS topics like arrow function, regular function, call/bind/apply method, == & ===, and basic Angular features. The second technical round went deeper into Angular, discussing directives, pipes, pure & impure, Ngrx, etc., along with very detailed JS concepts like promises under various conditions, event loop, browser model, and Web APIs. After these rounds, there was an assessment test with 3 Angular tasks. It seems they initially forgot to mention this test, as they asked me to complete it towards the end of the process.
- Can you create a function that returns a promise?
Front End Developer
The process was okay, though a bit slow. It started with an HR call where we chatted about the company and my background. Next, I got a standard coding task that they've used for a while. They gave me a good amount of time on it, wanting to see my best work. The feedback on it was a bit weird – they liked that I used CRA for quick setup and didn't remove the worker, even though it wasn't actually used in the code. The third stage was a letdown for everyone involved. It was with two senior engineers, and I was prepped to talk about senior-level stuff like closures and memoization. Instead, they asked me to write pure CSS and then print a Christmas tree in the jsfiddle console, completely skipping any seniority-related topics.
- How would you approach printing a Christmas tree in the console?
- Are you familiar with Agile methodologies?
- Can you discuss your previous projects?
Senior Front End Engineer
I did an online app with various competency questions. Then I had a first interview with a team member where we discussed my previous projects in detail. Finally, I had a second interview with a senior manager for soft skills. The application procedure was formulaic and nothing special.
- Can you share your experience in the industry?
- Could you discuss your previous projects in detail?
