First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mobica.
Software Engineer
I applied via employee referral and the whole thing took about a week. Applied at Mobica in 2012. First, there was a call from HR, then a technical call with an engineer where they asked about 10 questions, nothing too surprising. After that, I had a face-to-face meeting with HR and another technical interview that involved a multiple-choice test and solving 5 problems on a whiteboard. The entire process was fast, and I heard back quickly.
- Can you explain the Singletone pattern?
- How would you reverse words in a sentence?
- Write a function to generate Fibonacci numbers.
Test Automation Developer
I had a couple of phone calls with the HR manager who was recruiting. It took a couple of weeks to get the first phone interview scheduled. In total, there were two phone interviews, both involving technical questions. Each interviewer asked me about test automation, the programming languages and automation tools/frameworks I use, and if I was familiar with specific frameworks. After that, I had an onsite interview with two developers.
- Can you tell me about the automation frameworks you've utilized in your past roles?
- Which technologies are you proficient in?
- Could you explain what Docker is?
Marketing Director
Applied through a recruiter and had a phone interview which went really well, or so the recruiter said. Went for the f2f and then they said they needed someone with more experience in an area that wasn't on my CV and we'd already talked about it in the phone interview. I don't mind not being a fit for a job, but if it's something this obvious, I feel like my time and money shouldn't have been wasted. Six months later and they're still looking.
- What's your strategy for delivering a project that's both technical and niche?
Quality Engineer
The interview started with an introduction and then some questions about Agile. After that, we went through my CV and some job description specific questions. Then, there were questions about Jenkins and pipeline scripts. I was given a Selenium code snippet and asked to optimize it in a language I prefer. Finally, an API scenario was presented, and I had to write test cases, both positive and negative.
- How can one obtain reports and data from Docker applications?
