Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mizuho Financial Group.
Associate
It was basically a three-stage process. The final interview was at HQ with some of the team members. Essentially, the interviews focused on discussing career plans, and it's important to be consistent with your answers. Make sure you remember what you said in the first and second interviews.
- Can you tell me about your five-year plan?
Associate Director
First I had a recruiter call, then I met some team members, and then I met the team lead and the department GM in London. In total, there were 4 interviews. Each interview lasted about 30-40 minutes, and normally they ask about your past career path.
- Can you describe your previous career experiences?
Associate
First I had 3 online aptitude tests which included comprehension, some numeracy, and pick the next in the series type tests. Then I was interviewed on site by 3 people for 3 different roles. I was narrowed down to 2 roles and had a 2nd interview with those two managers. I was asked which of the roles I'd like and picked my preferred option. Normally I would have met the head of department, but he was out of the country. Then there was an HR interview and an offer.
- No questions were found to be challenging.
