So, I went through a pretty standard interview process. It was a panel with 5 people, and they asked a mix of technical, programmatic, and interpersonal questions. It was a good experience overall, and the team seemed really into their work. But, I want to warn others about the talent advisor. After they selected me, I waited 7 weeks, even turned down other job offers. Then, the day before Thanksgiving, they told me the project was cancelled. I tried to get answers from the advisor, but only got vague responses after a long time. My advice: if you're not getting clear answers, just move on or focus on your other options.

I got referred by a college friend. About a week later, the hiring manager reached out to schedule a phone interview. The call lasted about an hour and covered my resume, past work, and technical abilities. A week after that, I was invited for a full day of interviews at MITRE. They flew me out about 1.5 weeks later. The on-site interviews took around 6-7 hours. I had to give a 45-minute technical presentation and then interviewed with 7 different people. The interviews assessed my logic and technical skills, with some behavioral questions mixed in, and I also had to answer logic and concept questions.

I had a call with HR that was a video conference, it was fine. I gave a 45 minute presentation about my previous work. There were some sharp questions asked. The main interviews were one-on-one with the group leaders for the on-site and the department head. The best part was seeing the lab and having good talks with the technical staff.
