First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mitratech.
Product Manager
First, a recruiter got in touch and set up the interviews. The initial talk with the hiring manager went well and was positive. However, the next interview heavily featured collaboration with design, with hardly any engineering focus. This felt off since the role is meant to work closely with engineering. The interviewer from design asked questions that seemed more appropriate for a UX designer than a product manager. Following that, I heard nothing for three weeks. Despite contacting the recruiter multiple times, I never got a reply or an update. The silence and lack of clarity after the second interview was disappointing and made a bad impression. Given this, I wouldn't recommend the process. I'm fine if they moved on with someone else, but better communication would have been nice.
- Questions focused on design aspects.
Technical Lead
You'll have a manager interview to test your leadership skills and how you handle situations. Then there's a take-home coding test, which is a real-life problem based on the tech skills needed. Finally, there's a technical interview with a panel where they'll ask about the coding test, your decisions, and technical intricacies.
- Can you explain immutability?
- What are lists?
- Tell me about time complexity.
UI/UX Designer
3-4 rounds of interviews. Very unclear of what the interview was about. the first interview was with a talent acquisition partner who didn't know anything regarding the round. He was reading from a mail and performing actions like reading paragraphs and asking questions regarding design and process. He did not know anything regarding design process when questioned what he wanted to know he repeated the question and did the same thing for almost most of the questions. Also this call was recorded as they wanted to show this to the stakeholders. Second round was a white board round which was not prior informed. They started with the round thinking that I was informed regarding the same. Also this interview happened at 11pm IST.
- Can you explain your design process?
Senior Software Engineer
I had a terrible interview experience with Mitra Tech, seriously do not apply. I was hesitant because of their bad ratings but took a chance since they offered remote work. I passed three technical and functional interview rounds, and they started talking about onboarding. Before we could even discuss salary, they just ghosted me and said they were moving on with another candidate. They never explained why I was rejected, just wasted over an hour of my time in multiple interview rounds. Save yourself the trouble and don't apply; their ratings are spot on.
- Tell me about Solid Principles and provide coding examples.
- Write programs related to Arrays.
- Discuss Design patterns.
