Cleaner
I gave the supermarket a call and asked for the cleaning manager. She was really nice and I answered her questions straight up. Then she asked me in for a proper one-on-one chat. She told me about the job and their rules about working there. I got asked a bunch of questions about what I've done before and how I'd handle different stuff. They offered me the job on a 3-month trial and I started within two weeks.
- What's your previous work experience?
- Can you work non-standard hours?
- What do you think about this role?
Cleaner
The interview was about 5 minutes long. It started with a friendly handshake. I was dressed smartly in a shirt and trousers, which is suitable for a cleaning job. The interviewer seemed relaxed, maintained eye contact, and had good body language. A few questions were asked, and I was also asked if I had identification, which I didn't have. The interview concluded with another handshake.
- Would you be willing to work late shifts, specifically from 7 PM to 11 PM on one day and 4 PM to 8 PM on another?
- What do you understand a cleaning role to entail? Can you give some examples of your understanding?
